Linking text.

    How can I link text on one page with text on another. I have a list of names on one page and the details about the person is on a different page.
    Is there a way whilst building the site to put up a notice say ‘site being developed, men at work’ or something similar. I can get 85% sorted quickly but will have to wait for more information to arrive over coming weeks.

    Hi there!

    How can I link text on one page with text on another. I have a list of names on one page and the details about the person is on a different page.

    You can achieve this by making sure that the destination page is published first. Then, you can copy the link to the destination page, highlight the text that you want to add the link to, click the Link icon in the block toolbar, and paste the link in the field that shows up.

    We have the option to keep the whole site behind a “coming soon” page and I can see that it’s already active on your site. So, people visiting your site right now would see the coming soon page. When you’re ready, you can navigate to My Site → Settings → Launch site to make the site publicly viewable.

    We don’t have the option to change the text on the coming soon page without using a plugin, which can be installed with the WordPress.com Business plan.

    Thanks for the information which I am trying to understand.
    What I need is to link a photo to text on another page, not just to the page heading. Also link text on one page to text on another, again not just to the header.
    I have quickly read the ‘method to links’ and cannot see what I need.
    Thank you for the quick reply as I have come to halt.
