Linking Text in My Sidebar

  My blog was just featured in an article on another website (not a blog). They offer a linked widget that I just added to my sidebar; however, I was concerned that it might be considered advertising. I’m not trying advertise anything. I just thought it would be nice if my readers new that my blog was mentioned.

  I it ok to keep the widget?

  I am sorry but as we do not even know which widget you are referring so we cannot answer your question. Is this widget driving traffic to any third party commercial site? Is this widget an affiliate widget?

  I took it down, because I didn’t want to chance it. The link is from this article. The award is at the bottom of the page and I can put it in my sidebar.

  I would contact staff directly on this since they are the keepers of the TOS hammer. As long as it isn’t an affiliate link, I doubt seriously it will be a problem, and I don’t see anything in the code that looks like affiliate code.
