Linking to a document or image

  Hi there,
  How can I link web page text to a PDF file or JPG image that would open in another window? The file exists on my computer but I’m not sure how to make it into a link or a hidden page that only opens when the text is clicked.

  Any help would be appreciated! Thanks

  Hi,

  See the Links support page for instructions. The basic format of an image link in WordPress.com is
  <a href="Destination URL">text link</a>
  Whether you want the link to go to an PDF file or to an image, the destination will have an URL. That’s what is meant by “Destination URL.”
