linking to a URL within a post
-
I feel stupid because I can’t figure out how to add a linked URL within a post. I’m talking about a product and I want to add a link. When I provide the URL, it’s not clickable. I remember it was easier, had a tool just like “add an image” called “add a link” or something like that. I can never remember how to do the HTML code because I never wanted to learn coding. Isn’t there an easy way to do this?

Simply select a portion of text that you want to have as a link and, on the toolbar, click on the icon that looks like a chain (right next to the text alignment icons).

Thanks, I did search, but the only info I could find was for links in the sidebar, such as the blogroll. I’ll go link up my URLs now.

I just figured out why I couldn’t find it before. If I’m looking for something, I normally hover my mouse over an icon and look at the explanation that pops up. When in QuickPress, the URL chain isn’t available; when I was in edit, it was grayed out because I didn’t have the text selected. Grayed out=no explanation.
Thanks again for getting me over this hump!
