Linking to first post in a category

  Hi all,

  Is it possible to link to the first post in a category? I am writing a comic, so this feature would be *very* useful!

  The obvious problem is that every time I make a new post, it bumps the number at the end of the URL up. So the URL of the first post keeps on changing.

  Eg. http://thelovelyandhappycomic.com/category/category-name/rants-about-modern-life/page/10/

  This is #1 out of 10 posts for that category.

  Any help would be so much appreciated

  It is, just as a link to one particular post, but it is not possible to make the CATEGORIES widget link to that. It’s not possible to make the category page behave in that manner here at WP.com.
