Linking to my own content

    Hi,

In a lot of my posts I link back to old posts to connect those in a series or encourage movement around my blog but each time I have to authorise the link in the same way I have to for a new comment from someone I don’t follow. This is a little frustrating if I set any early schedule time (as this works best for me) but don’t get a chance to authorise the links, so could potentially be losing those clicks to move to other posts on my blog. Is there a way to automatically authorise a link when it is for another page on my own blog?

I am sure there is an option but can’t find it anywhere and would appreciate some assistance.

    Thanks,

    Sam

The link comments you are talking about are known as pingbacks which are usually sent from one site to another. But in our case, we are talking about self-pings.

It is usually annoying and professional bloggers do not approve self-pings or disable pingbacks altogether.

Coming back to your query, I’m sorry that it is not possible – you cannot automatically approve any pingbacks to your site (this is mainly due to combat spam).

    Hope that answers your query.
