Linking to post categories from menu

  I’m trying to create a menu with items that link to an archive of posts within a specific category, but haven’t had much luck with the techniques I’ve read about.

  I’d rather not use a plugin, since they seem to often increase page load time.

  My blog can be found at http://www.dollarstoredisasters.com and the theme I’m running is called SG Window.

  I’ve read about and tried implementing a technique in which you include the URL of the category in the post title, like this:

  Product Fails

  I haven’t been able to get this to work, so I’m looking for an alternative method. I would assume that as powerful as WordPress is, there should be one…it just isn’t obvious.
