Linking to showit

  Hello. I had my website created about a year ago, and I chose the option to link a wordpress blog to it on showit. I just started getting into blogging and created a login with WP. When trying to link my domain, it is asking me to pay extra per month which I already do with showit. How do I connect WP to showit without signing up for another bill?

  WP.com: Yes
  Jetpack: No
  Correct account: Yes

  Hi there!

  On WordPress.com, to be able to connect a custom domain, you need one of our paid plans:

  https://wordpress.com/support/plan-features/.

  You can only have a free site, if you’d like to use the free subdomain, like katherineriveraphoto.wordpress.com.

  Even if you already have the add-on on showit? So essentially you need to pay on both sites?

  Correct. In order to host a custom domain with us on WordPress.com, a paid hosting plan is required.

  Those are visible on https://wordpress.com/pricing/

  There’s an option to pay monthly. So maybe that’s a good place to start for your project? Do it for a few months and decide if the money makes sense for your budget and project.
