Linking to the oldest post in a category
-
Is it possible to link to an eldest post/page in a category without specifying the number? (I have only one post per page showing)
I.e. if I link to XXX.wordpress.com/category/flowers/ the link will take me to the newest post in the category.
If I link to XXX.wordpress.com/category/flowers/page/4/ the link will take me to the eldest post in the category if there are only 4 posts.
But if I add a new post in this category the eldest post will move to page 5 now, so I’d have to edit the link to …/category/flowers/page/5/.
Is there a way to link to a page that is always the last one? I.e. something like …/category/flowers/page/last/ ?
Here’s the blog where I need it: http://50milesofgoodroad.wordpress.com/
The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

Not on WP.com as far as I know. BUt you could always just see what the oldest post is and link directly to that. It won’t be changing, ever.

Yes, but then it doesn’t automatically link to the next post in the category. If I link to a category one can read through all of the posts in it by clicking “Next Entries”, like in a book.
Well, I guess one can’t have everything. ;)
