Linking to Website

  Hello, I am trying to link this blog website to my website on Go Daddy. When I insert the website http://codysconquestsdotcom.wordpress.com into the website builder on Go Daddy it tells me it can’t find the site. Can you advise why it is not working?

  Hi there,

  The website you entered can’t be loaded and used through the GoDaddy WordPress builder because that refers to the WordPress.ORG software, while your blog is hosted at WordPress.COM.

  The GoDaddy builder allows you to load the downloadable version of WordPress, which is different than WordPress.com.

  So if you want to use the WordPress software and hosted it on GoDaddy, you have first to download the WordPress software, then install it into the GoDaddy space.
  After that, if you want to manage the content of your http://codysconquestsdotcom.wordpress.com website, you need to transfer it from the WordPress.com to the WordPress.ORG.

  You have first thing first to download the WordPress.ORG software.

  I found this step-by-step guide on the WordPress.org forum that covers every aspect of the installation, lunch and set up of the website, I think this is what you need: https://codex.wordpress.org/New_To_WordPress_-_Where_to_Start

  After you’ve got all up and running, I suppose you want to move your content from your WordPress.com to the new WordPress.org website.
