Linking two accounts

  Hi,

  I’ve got two separate accounts (one for the site and the other for the blog posts) linked up and the old posts are showing on the site. However, the latest posts aren’t showing. How do you fix this?

  Hi,

  I’m a bit iffy on this one, but I’d like to see if I can get you moving in the right direction.

  If you take a look at this documentation: https://en.support.wordpress.com/account-settings/, it references a dropdown menu if you have more than one blog.

  It’s in the section labeled Account Settings–> Primary Blog,

  Would you mind checking this for me to see if posts aren’t accidentally going elsewhere? I know this is a super preliminary step but I also want to make sure I have a clear understanding of what’s going on.

  Thanks Andrew.

  I’ve gone on account settings. I’ve clicked on primary site and the drop down menu only has the website domain. Underneath in the web address it has the blog address.

  Hi,

  Can you possibly provide me with a link to where the newer posts are displaying? I understand that they’re not displaying on the intended blog. I’m looking for a point of comparison to work my way back from. In looking at all of the support documentation there isn’t anything clearly indicating why newer posts would not display. Any information is appreciated. :)

  It’s okay Andrew, I think I’ve sorted it.

  On the admin account (the website account). There is only one user. I think if I add another user using the blog address should fix the issue.

  Would that be it?

  Hi,

  This isn’t something I would be able to confirm 100%. You can try it, but I’m not sure if the addition of another user would sort the issue. I’ve subscribed for email alerts to this thread. Let me know how it goes.

  Hi Andrew,

  I’ve added the new user. It has solved the problem, but at least I can change the post author to the right name now.

  But to solve my issue, I am thinking about changing the WordPress address URL to the blog address while keeping the site address URL the same.

  Do you think this would work? And would this affect the site’s theme or connection issues?
