Hi,
link my First Front Page Widget Area to my blog page?
Use the Recent Posts Widget.
Also how to I get the ‘read more’ from the widgets too?
The ” Read more →” links in the Sela demo are just regular text links. See the Text Widget Links support page for instructions on how to create them.
The “Read more ” links in the Sela demo have the following form:
<a href="link URL">Read more →</a> -
Use the Recent Posts Widget.
You could also insert display posts shortcode in a text widget.

Hi thanks so much for your help. Is there a way that I could link all three widgets to pages on my site like in this demo:
https://selademo.wordpress.com/
So the first widget links to a page in ‘Page Templates’ called ‘Full Width Page’.
Thank you!

Yes. The images in the front page widget area of the demo are image links, and the “Read more →” links are text links. The relevant support pages include the following:
- Image Links
- Links (for text links)
- Text Widget Links
The pair of links for the Full-Width Page front page widget look essentially like this:
<a href="https://selademo.wordpress.com/page-templates/full-width-page/"><img src="https://selademo.files.wordpress.com/2014/08/mg_9371-1.jpg?w=400" /></a> This is a full-width page template. It’s great for embedding a map, a large video, or a contact form. <a href="https://selademo.wordpress.com/page-templates/full-width-page/">Read more →</a> -
Perfect thank you! I’ve managed to do it!
I just have one more question. Sorry.
When I post a blog it doesn’t post on my blog page. I have to click on the recent posts widget side bar to locate it. On the demo when the blog posts are posted, they appear straight on the blog page.
Any help would be much appreciated.
Thanks for your help so far its been great!

When I post a blog it doesn’t post on my blog page.
You might not have a page set as your blog page, or one may be set but you don’t know what it is. The remedy:
In the second drop-down menu (labeled “Posts page”) at Customize > Static Front Page > Your front page displays, etc., select the “Blog” page as your blog page, aka posts page. Then click the Save & Publish button.
The static front page and blog page can also be set at the top of the WP Admin Reading Settings page. Yours would be https:// gingeranxiousdysfunctional.com/wp-admin/options-reading.php.
