Linking WordPress.com followers to a self-hosted wordpress page?

  Hi,
  Thanks for anwering my issue about moving email subscribers from a .com to self-hosted page.
  What happens too all the fellow .com users who follow you when you move to self-hosted? I have built up a good following using wordpress.com – surely you don’t lose all these connections by buying the software to do it yourself?
