I’m new… duh… so dumb question. I’ve gone through the blogroll and added all kinds of links to all my friends blogs. I’ve categorized them into like 6 categories. But for some reason, only 2 of the categories show up and I can’t figure out how to get the rest of them to appear on my page… anyone know what I’m doing wrong?

The categories that you’ve used also need to have at least a single post in them. Best bet would be to make a “Hey lookie! I added new links!” post and make sure all of the categories are included in that post.

I have the same problem…
When I have the links in my Category called “Television Shows”… they do NOT show up in my sidebar widget…
When I have the links in my Category called only “Television”… they DO show up in my sidebar widget…
How odd, eh?
Maybe try creating a new category with a slightly different name, then switching them to that new category… That’s what worked for me…
But it certainly looks and smells like a bug.

This is *not* a bug.
A quick explanation re:links is that you enter links into your Blogroll and assign each one you add to a category. You place the Links widget in the sidebar so the Blogroll displays. The links in the Blogroll are then displayed in alphabetical order in accord with the Categories you assigned to them when you entered them into your Blogroll.
Also note what drmike said: until you create a post in a category and assign that post to the category and drop and drag the Categories widget into your sidebar, it will not appear in your sidebar. “Best bet would be to make a “Hey lookie! I added new links!” post and make sure all of the categories are included in that post.”

Bruce, do you have any posts within the “television” category? Again we can’t tell because you’re linking to a non-wp.com blog so we can’t see what you’re looking at.
