  I want a reader to be able to click a picture on the home page and have it go to a section of a different page. How do I do this?

  You can add a link to an image and it will take you to a different page. You can achieve this by adding a link to the image block.

  This jumped out at me. You don’t want to link your image to the top of a page, but somewhere in the middle? If so then as your first step you will want to set up a “page jump” link by following the guide here: https://wordpress.com/support/splitting-content/page-jumps/

  Then you can add that page jump link to any image, just as @malhotradivya15 has correctly described. Hope this helps!
