  You should be able to add a link in a sidebar and have it direct viewers to a specific post. I thought it was called a hyperlink, but I could be wrong.

  This also works with images. Add an image to a sidebar and the entire image is a link that will send the reader to the post it refers to.

  Is this option available on wordpress?

  If you want specific links in your sidebar, you can enter the HTML into a text widget.

  I know how to use the text widgets, but how do you set a ‘location point’ for a post. I have only 1 page, so all my posts go on the same page. Can I have a sidebar link set to a certain post that is constantly moving lower and lower on the page, the more I post?

  Yes, you get the permalink to it from the title.
