Links

I have a main page of my blog and other pages saved as drafts. I want to create link between the main page and draft page. But as i provide the permalink of the draft page and publish, it appears on main page which i dont want. I provide the permalink of draft page in any sentence of main page but it still appears on main page. My blog is realityofislam.wordpress.com

I suggest adding the pages widget to your sidebar. This way only published pages appear. Drafts that are not yet published are still hidden, until they are published. Is that what you want?

Thanks for your concern. But the problem is otherwise. I want the draft pages also to appear in my blog but only through link and not on main page. Example when we click the word ‘forum’ only then features of forum appear and not on main page they appear. Hope you got it.

If you want the pages to NOT appear in the page tabs on top of your frontpage you must make them child pages. If you also do NOT want them to appear in the Pages widget you can exclude them. This way pages can only be found via a link. Mind you, the pages you hide may still appear in Google searches.

Buddies i still cant understand what you say. In short tell me how you link two pages of blog keeping one as parent page and other opening by making a link to it. Do you enter permalink of second page in parent page. Like if i write on parent page ‘click here ‘ and when we click it only then second page should appear and not on parent page.

Problem is we still can’t understand what you say, either! For instance, saying that a page appears on another page doesn’t make sense – unless you mean the POSTS page of your blog. Are you sure you refer to pages and not posts? Please give us specific examples from your blog: publish one of your “drafts”, show us which one it is, and show us where exactly you want the link to be. Then we’ll be able to offer better suggestions.
