  On my 2nd WP site, I have links to the blogs I follow in my widget, but when I go to ‘Links’ in the back end to edit or add a link, they don’t show up there. Then, I just added a link and when I go to my site page, it’s not there. I can’t seem to find my links on my links page. What am I doing wrong?

  The blogs I follow widget auto-updates and reflects your activity. You cannot edit what is displayed in it.

  However, you can create a blogroll of related sites no matter where they are hosted in your Dashboard http://en.support.wordpress.com/blogroll/add-a-blogroll-link/ and then display it by installing the Links widget. http://en.support.wordpress.com/widgets/links-widget/

  Hi timethief, thanks for getting back. This is what I thought, but I don’t wish all of them to show up in my widget area on my page. Is there a way I can add only the ones I want to appear on my blogroll?

  Also, I added one in my blogroll and it’s not showing up in my widget area on my page. And, on my daerickson.wordpress.com page, my blogroll doesn’t automatically update on my page.

  On https://heholdsourfuture.wordpress.com/, I could edit on Blogs I Follow, but when I began adding these, I went back to the page and the new ones I’m adding aren’t showing up on my page.

  It’s the Links widget that will display the blogroll links you enter in your dashboard. Please see here https://en.support.wordpress.com/widgets/links-widget/
  Note: If some links are not showing up in the widget, make sure you’ve assigned a category to each link. http://support.wordpress.com/blogroll/add-a-blogroll-link/#add-new-link-categories
