links

Good afternoon. We use Cpanel and it is linked to our wordpress. We created 2 links, wartimegaming.org/discord and wartimegaming.org/youtube, on our cpanel. We linked the websites to our wordpress template and it will show the button on the top right corner and it would take you to the site, but if we type the websites in it takes us to the wordpress site with error 404. How can we stop it from doing this?

Hi @wartimegaming. The buttons in the top right corner have specific external links attached to them that will open on click.
wartimegaming.org/discord and wartimegaming.org/youtube
Both are URLs to pages on your site. Since those pages do not exist, the browser yells a 404 error.
If you really want your visitors to be able to access Discord and Youtube channel using those URLs, you can create a 301 redirect from those URLs to wherever you want. Some plug-ins like Redirection will help you with it.Another thing: Looks like your site isn’t hosted at WordPress.com, and using WordPress.org software. For future reference, this forum is for sites hosted at WordPress.com. To learn the difference between WP.com and WP.org, see this article: https://wordpress.com/support/com-vs-org/
