Links all mixed up between categories

  • Unknown's avatar

    As in the topic.
    Some time ago I realized that my links, when displayed on blog, are mixed up between the categories. When I entered the administration panel -> blogroll, all the tags seem to be alright. All the links seem to be tagged with a category I entered when adding them. Everything is fine there. Nothing is in the category I don’t want it to be.
    Unfortunately, they are being displayed totally wrong on the page. I don’t know when did it happen. Is it possibly just a temporary error of some kind that’ll just “pass”?

    The way links are displayed is in alphabetical order and in alphabetically ordered category groupings. Understanding your blogroll, links and categories

    Correction.
    ALL the categories are ruined. The ones, shown by the “Category” widget too, not only the link tags. The notes are displayed properly, but some tags in this widget are missing. Of course – in the admin panel… everything is perfectly ok.

    oops! There is a widespread problem right now that staff are working to fix. It’s effecting images, headers and categories. Perhaps there has been an impact on your blog as well.

    can you give us an example of which links should be under which headings? I don’t think many of the regular forum volunteers read Czech (that is what it is, right?)

    Pleeeeaaaase… I was SURE You will link me to “Understanding…” :(. I read it. I can do it again, but…

    The links ARE listed alphabetically. But they are displayed in WRONG categories in the “blogroll” widget on the page. In admin panel – everything is ok.
    The notes are displayed correctly, but the proper widget lacks some tags, that are used in the admin panel.

    Example (as displayed on the page):

    ->Categories:
    Cat A
    Cat B
    [Cat C – should be displayed, it isn’t]
    Cat D
    Cat E
    [Cat F – same as C]

    –> Blogroll
    ->Cat A
    Link A1
    Link A2
    Link D1
    Link B6
    -> Cat B
    Link A3
    Link B1
    Link B2

    End so on. I hope it’s clear now. I don’t want to waste your time.

    It’s Polish, but I forgive You ;D
    The example is, in *very* general way, shown ;)

  • Unknown's avatar

    I understand you. Did you understand me? There is a widespread problem with categories that staff are currently working to correct.

  • Unknown's avatar

    I understand You too, but saw Your 2nd replay just *after* posting mine, with the “example” and this “pleeeaasiing” ;)
    Really, I didn’t mean to be rude, just was abandoned by all hope, when saw Your first rep :P

  • Unknown's avatar

    Not to worry. :) I didn’t think you were rude at all. And I didn’t understand you or cotton to the widespread problem until the second go round. Let’s just take a break and see if staff’s work sorts this all out, ok? :)

  • Unknown's avatar

    Sure thing :)
    One way or another, thank you very much for such a quick answer :)

    You’re welcome. You have now joined a legion of other bloggers with fingers crossed, practicing patience, while staff are working like the dickens to correct things. :)

    P.S. Your English is really good. I only write and speak one language so I’m always impressed with people who know 2 or more.

    I wondered if it was Polish right after i clicked “Send Post”! Sorry :-D

    Judyb12 -> As I said, “forgiven” ;) My national pride isn’t that big :] Oh, and my “thank you” refers to You too, my mistake :)

    Timethief -> From the beggining I was hoping that it’ll fix “itself”, so let’s wait :) As for the P.S. – Thanks again. I’m trying not to get “rusty” with using Eng. In fact, I sometimes prefer it to Polish. It’s more like, well, maybe Latin was. Less words – more essence.
