  hi I would like to have links to my pages which would show when my cursor hovers over the page name. `I have added links to my places page but they did not show up.

  Do you mean you want sub-menu items? you can read more about this at http://en.support.wordpress.com/menus/#changing-the-order-creating-sub-menus
