Links appearing differently on different pages
-
I’m using the Skatepark theme and when I set the link style/appearance it only seems to control the homepage. The links on other site pages are appearing differently – any idea why this is the case and how to set the appearance for links throughout the site?
The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

Hi there!
Can you give us a link to a page where they’re showing correctly and one where they’re not? Once we have that information, we’ll be better able to investigate and advise.
Thanks!

For sure!
The home page is showing the links as I set them in the “Styles” section of the Site Editor, just black and remains black when hovered over: https://ddppvancouver.wordpress.com/
The About/FAQs page is showing the links differently, they are black but the text turns green with a black highlight when hovered over: https://ddppvancouver.wordpress.com/blog/about/
Thanks for your help!

Hello there,
Many thanks for that information.
I was able to see that – but it only happened once, and only on the FAQ page.
Once clicked, that does disappear – does this happen on your end also?
-
It doesn’t disappear for me – the black and green hover formatting shows whenever the link is hovered over, even after clicking on it.

Got it. Can you share a link to the page where you specified that color? Also, a screenshot? Please upload it here:

I never specified the black and green hover colours, I think that is part of the theme. I specified plain black links here: https://wordpress.com/site-editor/ddppvancouver.wordpress.com
Here is a screenshot of where I set the link colours:

I can’t figure out why it’s not overriding the link colours from the theme (Skatepark) on certain pages.

Hello there,
Interestingly, I can’t see the green when hovering in the menu.
I do see the differences in hover colour for the content. I’m guessing that the expectation here is for the links in the content to reflect what’s in the settings see n in the screenshot?
If yes, it looks like this could be valuable feedback.

Yes, exactly. The theme editor only seems to control the homepage, header and footer links, but not any other content pages.
Is there a way to change the other links still being controlled/determined by the theme with custom CSS code?
-
Hi there,
Yes it is possible to use CSS, though that is not an option on our free sites. You can however purchase it as a low cost add-on: https://wordpress.com/add-ons/
Can you clarify what the intended behaviour is here? You wish for the menu links to stay black when you hover over them, and not change color? The reason I ask is because I noted these color settings for the menu, which I think you may want to adjust.
See video at this link: https://d.pr/v/WOqPen
If you change the color setting for your menu does it resolve the issue your issue? Thanks for the additional info!
