Links, Blogroll as Drop Down Option
-
Forgive me if this has already been suggested. I know that we’re encouraged to find if it’s already been posted. I couldn’t find a ‘history’ of this topic, but that doesn’t mean it isn’t there. Anyway, it would be cool if the Links widget had a drop-down option. I would actually list my blogroll on my sidebar (rather than creating a separate page), if we had this feature. But it’s too long to list on the sidebar, IMHO, without being a dropdown.

Great idea. I agree 100 per cent.
I have also recently suggested in another post that we have a drop down option for the Pages widget as well.
I hope WordPress management sees both of our posts and takes them under advisement. -

Same here. It would be nice to have the blogroll in a sidebar rather than an another page.

We hear you loud and clear, guys. Feel free to drop a note to Support, as well, so that we can add it to our user suggestion library. :)

I would love both a drop down option separate for different categories and some themes which allow for a separate links page.

I have three blogs here for three very different purposes and I can’t figure out how to put my blog roll on the specific blog that I want it to be on. I would like to put up a book type blog roll on my book club site: writing on my writer’s site and weight issues on my lap banding site.
Does anyone know how to do this? -
From your dashboard, go to manage>links. Include the links you want there. And then make sure you have the links widget on your blog (design>widgets)

It would be a GREAT improvement in user interface. For example: I got more than a hundred links and at the same time I’d like to use more interactive widgets that appear closer to the top of the column.
