Links can't be installed
-
The links doesn’t work. I’m clicking on the link icon. Then I paste in the URL and click on Add Link. NOTHING shows up on the finished blog page. What the ##$% is going on?
The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

You need to highlight the text you want to link first. You also need to be sure you paste the full URL including the http:// part. Here’s a step by step guide. http://en.support.wordpress.com/links/

Thanks, I finally got one link to work – but it stays gray like all the other print on the page. Isn’t it supposed to show up as a different color, at least a bold black?
Secondly, installing the second link and then clicking on it led to a 404 Error and couldn’t find the page. This happened twice. What is causing that? -
What is the URL you are trying to add? I’m 99% sure it’s incorrect, which is your problem.

I’ve got the URL right, it’s http://www.dirtdoctor.com/Organic-Management-Professional-New-Book_vq4667.htm
It just doesn’t want to turn into a link.

Thanks raincoaster. I finally figured it out – it was stupidly simple. I was just pasting in the entire URL in the Word Press box – but they already enter the http:// (that’s kinda dumb isn’t it?) so I was continually entering 2 iterations of http:// . Got rid of one and now it works.
But how do I change the color of the link to something different than the rest of the gray text?
