Links disappear from images with custom URL

  Hi there,

  I have lots of images on my site which I’ve linked, using the custom URL option, to PDF files.

  I did this by creating a page without a title (like a hidden page which visitors to the site can’t see), inserting my PDF’s as links on that page, saving the page, opening the links, copying their URLs and then making my images (on the visible pages of the site) link to those URLs.

  Hope that made sense. My problem is that after a couple of weeks the links just vanish from the images! No idea why, but I would really really appreciate a solution.

  Hi, thanks for replying. I’ve just renewed all the links again so it’s usually about 2 weeks before they fall off again. But on the ‘get involved’ page, all those full size images (Dave’s song, postcard project and Heroes and Black Fangs) have links to PDF’s which disappear.

  Hmmm,

  Well without some specific examples of it currently happening, it is hard for me to troubleshoot. The next time it happens, could you post here and let me know prior to fixing it?

  And just to be sure, you aren’t deleting the pdf’s from your Media Library are you? They need to be in the library in order to be linked to.
