Links disappeared from Sidebar view?
-
Hello,
Since Friday, none of my Links are showing up on my sidebar. When I check them under my Dashboard, they all say they
are ‘Visible’ but they are gone. How can I reset them to show back up?The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

Try resetting the links in blogroll, and try to reset all the widgets in your respective themes.. it might set things right,

Staff is doing updates to the widgets, so they might be a little wonky for a while. Add the links widget back into the sidebar at appearance > widgets.

Not much worse than a wonky widget… Adding the link widget back seems to have fixed the issue for me. Thanks!

My links are gone too, and even if I add the widget, I can’t edit it. Anyone working on this?

@veronicafish, We need a link to your blog please, and when you say you cannot edit it, what exactly do you mean?
@friendsofthewestendparkatl, we need a link to your blog, and all you have to do is go to appearance > widgets and drag and drop the links widget back into your sidebar. Make sure and move it around a little and wait for the grey outlined box to appear before releasing the mouse button.

@socheatkhmer, I can only assume from your one word posts here in the forum that all you are doing is spamming the forums in hopes someone will click on your username and go to your blog.
That kind of behavior will get you banned from the forums.

My sidebar has disappeared too.
The images for the widgets are there but all text has gone and all my blog friend links have disappeared????? -

First off, did you recently change themes?
Second, since I don’t know what is suppored to be in the sidbar or not, it is difficult for me to see if anything is missing.
Go to appearance > widgets and look in the “inactive” widgets area at the bottom. If your widgets are there, simply move them back into the sidebar. To collapse the “available widgets” section above and bring the inactive widget section up higher, slmply click on the right end of the blue title bar of the “available widgets” section.

I haven’t changed themes.
I did edit the test for the book.
Each widget has/had text above it eg ‘My book is available now’ and the image of the book underneath.
the text ‘I am a member of’ and the widget for the link to the site.
At the bottom below all these widgets was my list of favourite blogs linked to the blogs. these have disappeared.
They are there on the links page.
I clicked on uppdate after I edited the book text and all the text disappeared from the blog page!!! leaving just the widget images.
cannot see anything to rectify this.
Cheers and thanks for your reply.

There is nothing in the inactive widget window. The widgets are there – they are pasted html.
It is the catagories part where all the text and the blogroll are that is missing on the blog page. they are there when I open ‘Links’ to edit and/ or add to them and all the links are there but not showing on the blog page.

One suggestion, I would have not related to this is to go to settings > reading and reduce the number of pages that show on a page to say 3 or 5. I suggest this because your blog is pretty image intensive and it takes a while to load. You readers will thank you.
