Links disappeared from Sidebar view?
-
At appearance > widgets, drag the “links” widget back over and into the sidebar. Move it around a little till the grey outlined box appears and then release it. Do the same with the categories widget.
-
Two things:
The links will only show up in the links widget if they have a category assigned to them: http://support.wordpress.com/widgets/links-widget/ .
Categories will only show in the categories widget if they have been assigned to at least one published post. I see only “uncategorized” assigned to your posts.

Go to appearance > widgets and drag the links widget back into your sidebar. If the widget opens, click the save button and then click the close button after the save donut stops spinning.

My widget said “There are no options …” and there was no save button to speak of (or click!) but it seemed to work. Thank you so much! :-)

You’re welcome. For some reason the options do not always show up when you add the links widget. The next time you go into it to look the options will probably be there.

Hi ‘thesacredpath’
I too owe you a thank you.
I too thought that the links widget didn’t work when I saw ‘there are no options’ so on the original try I dragged it back out.
When I read some other comments about this I tried dragging the links widget over again and it worked.
I then rearranged some of the widgets and links and all is well on this front at least.
I have another old problem back –
If I want to write a new post or edit, the visual window is only in html and the add an image icon doesn’t work with either the visual or html.
I have to use the quick post on the top right. It all works with that one or I write it in Blogger and copy and paste into WordPress.
I used the contact for this problem last time and it seams to clear but it is back again.
I can get round it as I have explained but it would be better to be able to use the main WordPress visual window. I used to write my posts in WordPress and copy and paste them into Blogger. now it is the other way around.
Anyway thanks again for the sidebar help – that was important to me.
Cheers

You’re welcome.
Go to users > your profile and at the top of that screen make sure that “Disable the visual editor when writing” is NOT selected and click the “update profile” button at the bottom.
Log out of wordpress, clear your browser cache and cookies, restart your browser and then try again with the editor and uploading/adding images.
