Links displaying 404 page not found
-
Hi all,
Today i launched my site to the public which as of this morning worked fine. Now that I have released all internal links have stopped working and display error 404 and page not found. I notice as well that the URL address for each page has changed from the link i created to individual ID numbers.
I linked my site to my FB page this morning and it would open the link to the home page, although the same link worked fine in search engines. After research the support forums said to enter the settings/permalinks and save changes. This made no difference and has seemed to corrupt the rest of my site.
Any help would be appreciated. This is my first site so knowledge is still minimal at present, and I’m concerned Ive just launched a site that doesn’t now work and don’t want people to be put off thinking I am incompetent.
Thanks

There’s no content on the site you’ve linked to. Are you talking about a different site? If so, what is the URL?
If by chance you are talking about a site using the standalone WP software, you’ll want to post at the support forums at https://wordpress.org/support If you don’t have a username on the ORG forums you can register one on that page.
Standalone WP and WordPressdotcom are different entities; more information about the differences can be found here: https://en.support.wordpress.com/com-vs-org/

The site I have created is http://www.avcreativedesigns.co Through wordpress.com
I don’t know why it put that link in, that was my old domain.
Thanks

avcreativedesigns.co is using the standalone WP (org) software and not hosted here on WordPressdotcom. You’ll want to head over to the ORG support forums for assistance with your self-hosted site.
Best wishes.
