Links don’t align in text widget
-
I have added a text widget with links. They are all there, but they do not align. Instead they are next to each other. What am I doing wrong?

Hi there,
Welcome to wordpress.com
Will you please post a link to your blog so we can see what you are talking about?
http://faq.wordpress.com/2006/12/24/using-the-text-widget/
http://faq.wordpress.com/2007/07/01/how-to-write-links/
how to use the break element properlyTip: You can link your wordpress.com username to your wordpress.com blog. -> Users -> Your Profile (find “website” enter your wordpress.com blog’s url and click “Update Profile” to save the change).
HTH:)

If paragraphs are wanted, then paragraphs should be made by putting each of the lines in the example in paragraph elements:
<p>This is a real paragraph.</p>and<p>This is another.</p>
For inline breaks the correct usage is<br />Note that space between the “r” and the “/”.{waving to sulz}

Sorry, thought I was linked to my blog through my member name, but I just fixed that!
Here’s my blog anyway: http://www.gotnomilk.wordpress.comThe text widget I am working on is the Lactose Free Sites. Do you see how they are all next to each other, instead of under each other?
Sulz, where do I place <br> ?
Thanks for everyone’s quick responses!

by the way, you need to use that tag each time you want to separate links. as in if you have 5 links and you want them in 5 lines, you have to use it 5 times.
-
you need to put the backtick before and after the code. that’s the key next to the number 1 key.

Hey there,
I guess you didn’t read the sticky at the top of the forum called ‘read me first’? Cause if you did you would have known that this forum is only for the support of wordpress.com blogs which are running using the MU version of wordpress. Here we are unable to place adsense or any other ads into our blogs.
Your blog is selfhosted and you want to ask at http://wordpress.org/support

Meh, I’m sure it was called ‘Read me first’ once, now it’s either of the two stickies. My bad.
