Links don’t work when using the standard free gallary plugin
-
Hi,
I’m using the free gallery plugin in WordPress. The bottom 1/3 of each image is an area where you can add text. There’s also an option to select that text, and apply a hyperlink to any path/page. The intent is that on the front end, I would be able to go to the published page that has the gallery in question embedded into it, scroll down to the gallery, hover over the hyperlink text of one of the images, and left click. It should go directly to the designated hyperlink.
But it doesn’t. I open the published page, and I CAN hover over the text (that works fine), and I CAN even right click and copy the link that I intended for it to go to. But if I LEFT CLICK, it still goes directly into gallery/carousel mode. If I could provide a video with proof of this, I would.
I tried updating the ‘link to’ attribute of the gallery to ‘none’, but that didn’t help.
Any help would be very much appreciated.
The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

also, the Masonry plugin works fine in terms of hyperlinks, and so do standalone images.
it’s just the gallery one that’s not working.
