Links from my blogs are not considered as bank links..wny?

  Hi Guys,

  This is Pranav, I am having a blog as wordpress named pranavgupta.wordpress.com, I am having pagerank-5 for this blog, I am litle astonished to see that Google is not considering the back links from my blog to my other websites. Can anyone guide ,e on this? I would realy thankful to you if you people can resolve my this issue.

  Please note, I have not used NoFollow tag.

  It might be that the other blog is linked to your user name
  and Google sees that when they crawl your site…

  Google tries to be as clever as possible when evaluating links, and they know that bloggers tend to have several blogs. If they’ve identified these as yours, they will discount links from one of your blogs to another.

  Ah, well the site linked to that name is not. My bad for not looking for the blog.

  You might want to try using different usernames in that case. I myself have three or four Wp.com IDs. Can’t remember how many, actually. But Google does not currently connect one with the other.

  I really need help on this, that Google is not considering the back links from my blog to my other websites. Please get me out of this.

  Are you talking about Google Blogsearch, or Google itself? I’ve given you the best advice I can; naturally, changing usernames at this point is not going to help retroactively, it will only count in the future.

  Google took a stand in January against “blog cartels” that linked back and forth all the time. There may be no workaround.

  Thanks Raincoaster, I have added one more username to that blog and i understand that the new posts that i will be created with the new username on that blog – If having links, will be considered as back links as i have changed the Username, You mean this will create illusion to Google that this is someone else’s blog, is it like this?
