Links html
-
I want to do five things (they are all the same problem really) – that’s all and I’ve been trying for three days!
Could somebody please tell me how to:
a) add a link to download my CV from my server? I’ve made a half attempt using Blogroll, but I want just to have text saying “download my cv” and turn that into a link itself.
b) add a picture to my sidebar. When I do it nothing shows, but I’m not sure what I am supposed to type for location.
c) get the text in my text widgets to break on the lines where I hit return when I enter it?
d) create a link in a text widget to my web site etc.
e) create a link to my LinkedIn page just like I can in TypepadYes, I know its covered in support, but I’ve been there, and the forums and the instructions just don’t work for me. I must be doing something wrong. I don’t understand when the forums and support give code what I have to literally type and what i type in the quotation marks. Do I type the quotation marks even?

Helped! Thanks. I see your cv is in pdf format, which is one you are able to upload to your wordpress space. You could then just link to that if you wish.
These links might help:

To add pics on the sidebar either add a link to photobucket with [‘s or link it from another source

You need to have uploaded the CV and the pictures first. When you do this, make a note of the url where the file is stored. This is what you’ll need to make a link to the CV and to display the image. Then use the instructions that ellaella posted.
