Links in Comments

  When reply into a comment how can I enter a link so it shows up as text rather than the URL.

  For example, click this link to go to wherever (the word this being a hyperlink)

  as opposed to click on http://www.thislink.com to go wherever

  I know how to do it in new posts using the menu, but comment areas dont have that menu to use.

  Then you manually create the link. This is the general link model:
  Highlighted anchor text here

  NOTE: I don’t recommend including links in comments. That’s the hallmark of spammers.

  Hi timethief, different profile pic, didnt recognise it :) thanks for the advise. It wasnt something I was going to use massively, just on occasion when the situation called for it.
