Links in e-mail notifications broken – incorrectly say “page not found”

Hi,
We have a lot of e-mail subscribers. We are hearing that when our subscribers receive a notification e-mail about a new post and try to click the link to go to the new post, they will get a “page not found” error. But a few minutes later the link will work just fine. There seems to be some kind of WordPress delay between the time when we press “publish” and the e-mails are automatically generated, and the time the permalink actually starts working. Any thoughts?
