Links in the new editor

    Hello, I was trying the new editor. I think editing window is better for writing, but adding a link now requires two clicks. Before I could check the “Open link in a new tab” checkbox while pasting the link. Now I need to click the options button first. I always want my links to open in a new tab. So why did you do such a thing? Is there a way around it?

    I found using the new editor that after I insert a url link and then go to ‘settings’ to select ‘open in a new tab’ it all seems ok but doesn’t work. Very frustrating; old editor was far better in this regard.

    Unfortunately, the new editor is not ready. I just lost a big chunk of edits. In 10 years of WP usage nothing like this ever happened. I had to go through previous versions and recover as much as I could.

    For links, I need 3 clicks to add open in new tab. Why change something that worked? I don’t understand the purpose!!!

    Also, adding images got worse. Captions box is now too small. I have to click 2 or 3 times in order for size change to take effect.
