Links not active on front page
-
I’d like to use Inuit Types like a broadsheet to provide links to other website articles. While I have inserted hyperlinks into the text as “more>>” the links are not active on the front page, only in the full blog page. Can I make the front page links active?
The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

Please post an active link starting with http:// to the blog you are referring to as the one linked to your username has been deleted.
torreyhousepress.wordpress.com is no longer available.
The authors have deleted this blog. -
The Inuit Types theme which I also use it coded to display only excerpts on the front page of the blog depending on which choice you make here > Appearance > Theme Options A “read more” link to read the full post on its own page is automatically provided at the end of the excerpt and it’s the only active link aside from the title on the front page the excerpted posts. If you wish to create your own excerpts you can but the links you include will not be active on the front page.

Here’s how to link your username to your active blog in your blog Dashboard -> Users -> Personal Settings -> then scroll down to Account Details. Then scroll down to where it says ‘Website‘ select the URL for your primary WordPress.com blog and then “save changes”. Now every time you sign into the forum we can all click on your username and your blog will be linked to it. And every time you leave a comment on a blog your username can be likewise clicked and your blog can be instantly located.

I linked my user name to the active blog as suggested, thanks for the tip. Do you know offhand of a magazine like theme that has active links on the front page?

I’m sorry but I don’t. You will have to search in the Themes Showcase for a magazine style theme that has an active excerpt box, and most don’t. This article provides a list of theme that either do or don’t have activated excerpts and will help you narrow your search.
