Links not appearing properly on Facebook

It seems like every time we try to share a story link on Facebook, all it shows is the URL name, no story headline, no photo, nothing. I’m waiting on one of these ‘happiness engineers’ to get back to me, but it’s been days, and I’m not happy. So, WordPress, why shouldn’t I just move my blog to another site?

Just curious how are you sharing your stories? I tried to share one of your posts to my Facebook and I saw the photo, headlines, etc. Also when I copied the link directly and pasted it on my wall, saw the same thing.
That’s one of the things I do as well is share stores from my site on Facebook. Hopefully I can be of some help.

Well, we have the WP site auto-linked to our FB page. Today it didn’t appear properly there (headline yes, photo no). Then when I just did a straight copy of the URL and shared it to two local beer group pages, it appeared properly. I have no idea what’s going on at this point.

Try disconnecting the site from Sharing and re-connect, see if that fixes the issue.

There is a known issue with facebook at this moment. Please refer to this forum post by Staff in the premium theme forum, which is relevant for everyone, and which contains a workaround: https://premium-themes.forums.wordpress.com/topic/featured-image-doesnt-show-when-post-to-facebook?replies=13#post-112057
Staff will update that post once it is resolved.

Hopefully the issue gets fixed soon, because that workaround didn’t work at all, and the Facebook debugging tool gives the same useless info every time. (It’s the same issue reported in the chain Jennifer shared.)
