Links not showing up properly

    Hi there – I have been using WordPress for a while and have started a new blog today. For some reason the URLs are I add to text are not acting as they should, see here: http://mclarenfan.wordpress.com/

    I have input this just I do for every other post my other WordPress blog, for example: James Allen’s Blog.

    Fopr some reason the code is showing up and not a clickable link.

    Any help would be much appreciated

    I suggest you try again. There was a short-term blip I noticed about the time you posted that which might have affected the way the links posted. Are you using the Visual editor or the HTML editor?

    You probalby prepared the text in a text editor then pasted it in the visual instead of the html post editor, so instead of the brackets and the quotation marks you got the symbols for them. You can switch to html and correct them.

    (Or you can write the link name in the visual editor, highlight it, click the link button and paste the URL there.)

    Thanks both of you – much appreciated. I did indeed edit it in HTML mode and yes I was using a text prog to write the blog first! Lessons learned, thanks.
