Links not working

I just realised that my add link feature has stopped working! Text is not highlighted after I add the url in visual, html or preview panes. Seems to have suddenly stopped working, have had no problem in the last six months!

Provided you are higlighting the text you want to link to first and then clicking the link icon, that sounds like a browser issue to me.
Have you tried clearing your browser cache and cookies ? http://www.google.com/support/accounts/bin/answer.py?hl=en&answer=32050
If that does not work then we need to know how are connecting to the internet and to WordPress.com?
The way you connect to the internet (mobile, satellite, DSL, dial-up) and to your blog, and how many proxy server jumps etc. it takes to connect can cause problems. There maybe be problems with your ISP and/or with the proxy servers. Also note that the main dashboard isn’t designed to work with touch devices through the tablet and smartphone browsers.

Cleared browsing history and cache to no avail.
Tried changing browsers, but doesn’t seem to work on IE either!I post from my laptop and my user agent is: Chrome/21.0.1180.60
I have been inserting links in every post so far without any issues!
My latest post for the Weekly Photo Challenge apparently had the comment box disabled as well! I disabled and enabled it again and it was fine. Have no idea what is happening. -
