Links of friends’ blog
-
I have gone through the instructions ie dashboard/manage/add link, go back to widgets and link from there. Isn’t work for me. Although under links, I have a list (wordpress.org, wordpress.com, xxxxx.blogspot.com, etc) when I am on the widget’s page, it says on the left, “There are no options for this widget”. What am I doing wrong?

I can’t help you if you don’t say what your goal is. Please say what your friend’s site is to you and what you mean to do with it once you get that info. There are a ton of options but we don’t know which you mean.

The Links widget doesn’t have any options. All management of links is done from Manage->Links in the Dashboard.

raincoaster – My goal is to have a blogroll (I believe the term is not used anymore?!) However, most of my friends have blogs in blogspot. I would like to know how I can create this. Based on the answers that have been previously given in the forum page, this is how I do it – Manage/Links/Add Links. Then proceed to the Design tab/Widgets and add the relevant links. However, even after following this process, I am getting “There are no options for this widget” under Links.

As mtdewvirus says, just add the links under Manage->Links on your dashboard. The Links widget is one that is already configured, so once you put them in there they will be in the widget. All you have to do is put it in your sidebar.
