links off a parent pg

  On my main menu bar is a link titled book reviews. Inside that I want to put pictures of book covers, which when you click on will go to their review. How do I do this, and where do I write the review? thanks

  Please don’t open new threads for the same issue.

  You can write each review in a separate page; if you turn those pages into child pages, they won’t show in the header. Or you can write them as normal posts.

  Sorry, I thought I had to put it in questions. Anyway I am still a bit confused. When you click new post that only will put something on the main page right? Dont I have to go into book reviews and click edit post. Im not seeing the options to change to a child pg etc. to add a link to from a picture or title i put on the main book review pg

  When you click Posts > Add New, you create a new post that will show up in the main page by default. But that’s not necessarily so: you can set your main page to display a static page instead of your latest posts.

  Posts are also accessible by category via the sidebar, if you activate the Categories widget. So you could have a “Book Reviews” post category instead of a BR page. (You can even have that category as a page tab in the header, if you wish.)

  Parent and child refers to pages, not posts: Pages > Add New. The page editor includes an Attributes module, which includes assigning a parent. If you don’t see that module, click on “Screen Options” (while you are on the page editor screen) to activate it.

  I’m not sure I understand your last question.

  how do i put in text, that i can link to another pg. so for instance a list of books in text form with links to their reviews. where do i write the reviews in wordpress? i know how to add links to websites but not within my wordpress pg. thanks again and sorry for the repeated questions im just a novice at this
