Links opening a new window

  I want to promote different products on my blog, but if I link to it my reader is navigated away from my blog and over to the link. How can I get a new window to open instead?

  The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

  If you’re talking about creating a hyperlink, when you create the link there should be a toggle button that assigns “blank” as the option to open the link in a new window. Be sure and check that for each link you create.

  If you are using html in a text widget to create buttons in your sidebar, I haven’t figured out how to get those to open in a new window. They always just open in the current window and people need to use the back button to return to my blog.

  Sorry, “blank” opens in a new tab. There will also be an option to open in a new window.

  @mrsbitch: No, your reply was correct. New or new tab has to do with the preferences you set in your browser. As for the html way, this is the code:
  <a href="URL_HERE" target="_blank">TEXT_HERE</a>
