Links opening in a new Window?

Just wondering why my links are not opening in a new window even though I have checked: Open link in a new window/tab.
The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

Hi there,
I just took a look at the links set up in your custom menu (under Appearance > Menus in your site’s dashboard). I don’t see the box next to “Open link in a new window/tab” checked on those links.
Can you please try checking that box again for the links you want to open in a new window? Please be sure to click the blue “Save Menu” button to save your changes when you’re done.
If that still doesn’t work for you, please let me know and I can take another look! :)

Thanks for taking a look at my blog.I do not see where to check “Open link in a new window or tab” in the Appearance>Menu.
In my posts when I link one of my old posts or any other website to the post I working on I see the box to check: “Open in a new window or tab. I rechecked all of those links and still I am not getting a new widow or tab.

Oh, I’m sorry about that! I misunderstood which links you meant in your original post.
I just checked all of the links in this post:
Each of the links opened in a new tab in my browser (Chrome). It looks like you’re using Safari, so I also checked there and the links also open in a new tab.
When you click a link in that post, does it open in the same tab? Does that also happen if you try it in a different browser? (If you need, you can download the latest versions of popular browsers here: http://browsehappy.com/ )

When I click on the links in the post they open in the same window/tab.
I have Safari 7.1.2
It appears that there is a newer version 8 that works with Yosemite. I am reticent to upgrading to this operating system since it has not gotten very good reviews. What version of Safari did you used to check the links?

Hi there,
I checked in both Safari 7.1.2 and Safari 8.0.2, and both times it opened the links in new tabs for me. Do you have any extensions installed in your Safari browser?
Also, if you try it in a different browser do you run into the same issue?

I understand now how the links work. I downloaded Chrome and was able to see the tabs very easily. It was easier to see the tabs in Chrome. Then I tried Safari and saw what I was supposed to be looking for after I opened a link. Thank you so much for staying with me until I was able to figure this out.
