links redirect to skimresources on mobile devices, fine on desktop
-
I posted a month ago but got no response… I have a lot of links that function fine on a desktop/laptop, but not on a phone. Well, the first link I click on does work, but any subsequent clicks do not. This has been true for over a month.
For instance, on this page – https://weavingmajor.wordpress.com/2025/01/04/tartan-fabrics-printed-at-spoonflower/ – the first link is to https://www.spoonflower.com/collections/206568-1-6-scale-tartans-other-doll-scale-designs-by-weavingmajor – and on my laptop the link works fine. If I try to click on it on my phone, it redirects me through several sites and ends up at members.cj.com/member/404.htm.
If instead of clicking on the link, I bookmark the link, it shows up as https://go.skimresources.com/?id=725X1342&isjs=1&jv=15.7.1&sref=https%3A%2F%2Fweavingmajor.wordpress.com%2F2025%2F01%2F04%2Ftartan-fabrics-printed-at-spoonflower%2F&url=https%3A%2F%2Fwww.spoonflower.com%2Fcollections%2F206568-1-6-scale-tartans-other-doll-scale-designs-by-weavingmajor&xs=1&xtz=300&xuuid=1c8618d0fce22d293a74e97d17251d99&xcust=8982&xjsf=other_click__touchstart%20%5B%5D
It looks like the site is trying to redirect through skimresources, which I understand may be the cost of a free blog, and it’s hopefully generating some income for WordPress… except it never makes it to Spoonflower at the end of the redirect! Is there anything you can do to fix that, or anything I should be doing differently at my end?
This failed redirect happened on my Apple phone (both on Safari and on a freshly downloaded Firefox) – and also on my son’s Android phone – so I don’t think it’s a malware issue, but rather something hanging up in the redirect?
The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

thanks. I have no extensions installed for Safari, and keep getting the redirect and 404, even after clearing my cache and restarting my phone. It hasn’t happened to me on any other sites – just WordPress.
I also freshly downloaded Firefox and got the same result – I end up at members.cj.com/member/404.htm after being routed through skimresources.
I don’t mind WordPress linkjacking and monetizing my blog, except that the links don’t work for me on my phone… and that makes me worry that they may not be working for others who find my blog (which I haven’t advertised yet as I’d like It to work properly before I do!)

This has nothing to do with wordpress. You must thorougly clean up your smartphone as that malware is hidden in your system software.
Your site works as normal for me as ain’t infected by that malware.
