Links to ads appearing in my blog posts
-
Links to ads appear to have been inserted into this post on my blogsite (http://cofarblog.wordpress.com/2013/10/28/compromise-bill-expands-dds-eligibility-to-some-but-not-all/?preview=true&preview_id=2524&preview_nonce=9c42beff4d)
The links to the ads appear to have two lines underneath them, which appears to distinguish them from legitimate links that I inserted into the post. I don’t mind ads appearing on my site, but I don’t want bogus links appearing in my posts. What can I do to get rid of them?
The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

I do not see any ads on your site.
All WordPress.com placed ads are easy to identify as this link accompanies them http://en.wordpress.com/about-these-ads/
Any other ads you see are not placed on the blog by WordPress.com. They are coming from a browser extension or toolbar. These sites have further explanation and suggestions for eliminating the ads: http://www.littletechiethings.com/2012/06/how-to-remove-ads-not-by-this-site.html http://blog.wikimedia.org/2012/05/14/ads-on-wikipedia-your-computer-infected-malware/ http://onecoolsitebloggingtips.com/2012/09/14/bloggers-beware-of-adware/
If you use the information at the sites I linked to and still see ads please post screenshot http://en.support.wordpress.com/make-a-screenshot/ Upload it to your Media Library, and return to this thread to provide the file name so Staff can examine it. Then type modlook into the sidebar.

Thanks! I used your suggested wikipedia advice to disable something called Batbrowse, which had appeared in my Google Chrome extensions, and it seems to have worked. The ad links have disappeared.

Hooray! There’s so much sneaky adware these days and we have to be so careful about what we download.
