Links to new WP blog don’t work for my followers yet it looks ok to me.

  Hi. I set up a new FREE WP blog yesterday -http://mytinyvegetablegardenexperiment.home.blog – and exported all my data from my previous blog – Redsox1956.com – it looks fine to me – everything is working as it should, but my followers have commented that they cannot access the link, and a blog post I have just written and linked to another site does not show the pingback, though it shows my Gravetar on his Like button. All I wanted to do was to set up a new FREE Blog with a more appropriate domain name. Where have I gone wrong?
