  Hi,

  I have a number of questions..

  1. How do I add links on my worpress.com site to another website?

  2. Could I place and ad on my wordpress.com site? How is that done, and what does it cost?

  3. Can I view the email addresses of visitors to my site?

  First, welcome to WordPress! If you’re new you might like to check out the FAQs which can provide beginners with some common answers. There are also a couple of blogs dedicated to WP resources you might find useful as well.

  1) You write links by using the link icon in your editor. It looks like a pair of chains (#10 below); all you do is select your text, click the icon and put in the address of the other site.

  2) You can’t place ads on a WP.com blog, and definitely nothing like Google Adsense. A discreet link to your business is permitted and there’s likely to be a paid upgrade allowing people to place a few ads at some time in the future, but we don’t know when yet.

  3) Not that I know of as that would be a big privacy problem. You can get the email for people who leave comments, though. Just go to Dashboard > Comments and you’ll be able to see the email addresses of anyone who was signed in or left their email address with the comment. Hope that helps.
