Links to pages no longer working

Hi! We have our site set up with a combination of posts and pages, but make extensive use of the page feature. We recently reorganized our “index” pages, and rather than having to write all new links to the individual pages, we made the old index pages private and included links on the new ones to them, which in turn link to the individual pages(confused yet?) This was working fine until last night, and it is behaving oddly, but not working anywhere for us now. If I’m in Internet Explorer, I can get to the posts and to the index pages, but depending on the computer, when I click on the links in the pages in the sidebar, they either give me an error message that nothing matches that criteria, or else I am brought to the private page, but then the links on the private page just bring me back to the private page rather than to the intended page. Firefox will not even load our site at all right now. We are at http://www.swishandfilk.com – if anyone has any suggestions, I’d really appreciate the help. I’d rather not have to re-do all of our links, but will if it is the only solution – I just think it’s odd that it’s been working fine for weeks, and only now is causing problems.

I had a look and the link to pages work fine. For linking to pages from the sidebar you might use the “pages” widget, so that you don’t have to edit the links manually.

The links to the pages on the sidebar work ok, but if you click on any of the links inside those pages, you will see that you do not ultimately get to the individual page with the song on it – you just end up at the Your Filk private page, or the Leaky Sisters Private page. I do have the pages widget loaded, but I don’t know if I’m supposed to do anything further to it, and again, this set-up was working fine until last night.

I also tried the links in the “Filks by Book” page and at least the first 10 work. Please post here at least one link which is not working for you so that we can have a look without having to click through hundreds of pages.

Actually, it seems that a change was made to WordPress, making numerical slugs not work. We changed all of our page slugs to words/letters, and they now seem to be working again.
