links to websites from my sidebar

    Greetings Wise Ones.
    I am trying to add website links to my sidebar under a heading called ‘Places I Like’.
    I have Writr theme and my blog is at:
    tasmanianstoryboardgroup.com
    I have tried doing this with the theme’s ‘Categories’ widget (no success) and with its ‘Blogs I Follow’ widget (but it sets up as a dodgy RSS Feed).
    I want visitors to click on links under “Places I Like” category, which would then take them to these other websites.
    What am I doing wrong?
    Can anybody offer help/advice?

    The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

    Hi,

    you can activate “Links widget” dragging it to the Widget Area (do not forget to save).

    Then use “Links” (4th menu item under the Dashboard) to add your links.

    Sorry about delay in getting back to you.
    I have tried several times to do this but the link just doesn’t register in the categories widget on my sidebar. Instead, it says “No categories” under the widget, even though I have assigned the “Places I Like” category to my link and the link to that category. Is there a stream of logic I’m not following here?
