Links to YouTube video fail to import from LJ

    Dear Sirs,
    I have tried to switch from LiveJournel to WordPress and imported the blog from there.
    It’s worked perfectly for texts and pictures, but all the video I have in LJ is not displayed at all. Most of videos are linked to youtube.

    For example, in LJ I have hmml like:
    <lj-embed id=”958″>
    <iframe width=”560″ height=”315″ src=”//www.youtube.com/embed/U3xlmYkfQRI?wmode=opaque” frameborder=”0″ allowfullscreen=”allowfullscreen”></iframe>
    </lj-embed>

    After import I see empty box in html of this post in WordPress.
    Please advice how to fix.

    I’m sorry but I believe all those links will be broken and will have to be replaced. See here http://en.support.wordpress.com/videos/youtube

    However, I could be wrong about the import and I’ll tag this thread for a Staff response.. Please subscribe to the thread so you are notified when they respond and please be patient while waiting.

    Hi there,

    The LiveJournal embed code in your posts isn’t supported here at WordPress.com, which is why those YouTube embeds aren’t being imported into your blog here.

    WordPress.com can convert the regular YouTube iframe code (without the “lj-embed” code around it) into embedded YouTube videos, or using the video’s URL or shortcode: YouTube

    I’d recommended removing the LiveJournal embed code from those YouTube videos to get them to embed properly on your blog here.
